Hollyland Partners with Filmtools for their New Year New Gear Fire Relief Fundraiser - Event Recap

Last week, Hollyland partnered with Filmtools to do their annual New Year New Gear event to showcase some of the new items from Hollyland and others. As 2025 is off to an unfortunate beginning, Hollyland recognizes and sympathizes with those who were impacted by the fires across Southern California. This year, Hollyland and Filmtools decided to make a change to their normal New Year New Gear by raising funds for those who have been impacted by the fires. With so many homes lost and people displaced, Hollyland and Filmtools co-hosted an event to bring funds for the Entertainment Community Fund, formerly know as The Actors Fund. All of the donations made the day of the event as well as the contributions from other partners were donated on behalf of Filmtools to help creators who were impacted by the fires.

At the New Year New Gear event, attendees were welcomed with partners who were ready to showcase new tech that releases soon or came out at the beginning of 2025. With so many attendees, we saw so much support raised and a continued support for the creative community. Hollyland was able to showcase the Lark M2S alongside the current products from Hollyland. With a number of giveaways at the fundraiser, we saw over 100 attendees throughout the night while we had presentations from some companies and notable cinematographers in the industry. Some of the giveaways were had throughout the night were our brand new Lark M2S, our Pyro S dual kit, and the Marks 4K Ecosystem which included the Mars M1 Enhanced. Alongside our giveaways, attendees who donated also received a free AC Bag and gaffer tape courtesy of Filmtools. With some help from our friends at Kondor Blue, we also were able to showcase some of our gear in collaboration with Kondor Blue’s new grips that worked with their Cyber truck.

With lots of food, music, and networking opportunities, the New Year New Gear was a huge success and we raised $23,000 for the Entertainment Community Fund. Of course, Hollyland and the other partners know that there is still much to do to help those who were impacted by the devastating fires. We hope that through a collective effort, we can restore Southern California to a sort of norm while also finding time for creators to get back into the swing of things. Thank you to all our partners who came out to support our fundraiser and for those who donated to this special cause. We hope we can continue to do more events like this in the future and be sure to take a look at what Filmtools has coming next too.
