On January 26, we had the pleasure to do a giveaway through the After School Film Institute. For the two students who rose ever so slightly above their peers, we awarded them a Mars 4K and a Lark Max. These students worked so hard on their projects and storyboarding their ideas that there is no doubt that the future of the industry is in good hands. With this in mind, we were happy to partner and give them a couple products to award them for their hard work despite the industry being such a difficult place to get into.
Many of these students’ projects derived from such creative minds and themes. One of the students who serves as the director and lead editor has had lots of time to work with the Mars 400S Pro II. She says, “(The Mars 400S Pro II) helps tremendously with the flexibility of mobile cameras that these events require when we document and stream live performances.” We are so excited to see her team grow as they continue to use our equipment and bring their ideas to life.
One other student who wants to pursue writing and journalism has found herself using the gear as well. As they are overseeing projects and producing different shows, the equipment that they have received as assisted in facilitating future productions and fundraising opportunities.
We are so happy to have students who use our gear. Students have proven to be our next generation of filmmakers and producers, so putting quality gear in front of their eyes continues to be our goal. With school production teams being run by students, the ability to create has never been easier. Hollyland hopes to meet students where they are in order to create a smoother production experience.
